1. Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS)
Largest Stream — 3,425 nominations in 2026For temporary foreign workers already living and working in Alberta with a full-time job offer from an Alberta employer. Most accessible pathway for workers in Alberta.

- Currently living & working full-time in Alberta

- LMIA-based or LMIA-exempt work permit
- PGWP from Alberta publicly-funded institution
- Genuine intention to live in Alberta permanently
Job Offer & Language
- Permanent, full-time job offer from Alberta employer
- Employer must be 2+ years in operation in Alberta
- Employer: min. 3 full-time Alberta employees
- Employer: min. CAD 400,000 gross annual revenue
- Language: CLB 5 (TEER 0–3) | CLB 4 (TEER 4–5)

2. Alberta Express Entry Stream
Nomination = +600 CRS PointsAlberta selects candidates from the federal Express Entry pool based on provincial priorities. A nomination gives you +600 CRS points — virtually guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR. Minimum CRS 300 to be eligible.
