Start-Up Visa Requirements
- Innovative business idea with high growth potential
- Support letter from designated Canadian VC fund, angel investor, or business incubator
- Language: IELTS CLB 5 in all 4 abilities
- Sufficient funds to support yourself and family in Canada
- Business must be incorporated in Canada
- Each applicant must hold 10%+ of voting rights in the business
Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)
eTA Facts
- Required only for visa-EXEMPT countries (like UK, Germany, France, etc.)
- Linked electronically to passport — no stamp or sticker
- Valid for 5 years or until passport expires
- Allows multiple entries to Canada
- Only required for air travel (NOT for road/sea entry)
For Indian Passport Holders
- Indian passport holders are NOT eligible for eTA
- You need a full Canada Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)
- TRV costs CAD 185 (CAD 100 + CAD 85 biometrics)
- TRV processing: 28-102 days
